The Luxembourg Signal – Dying Star (Cirrus)

Dying Star was one of my favourite tracks from last years self titled debut album by The Luxembourg Signal. Here it gets the remix treatment from Robert Hampson (Loop/Main) who adds drone and psychedelic shimmering guitars into the mix that further emphasise the ethereal vocals. Most excellent. It’s out now on a split 7″ vinyl (with Soft Science ex Holiday Flyer/California Oranges) and digital formats via Test Pattern Records. Buy it from here. Intenna – Thirst

I briefly mentioned Indonesian shoegazers Intenna as part of the post on Revolution – The Shozegaze Revival. Their contribution Flowery was impressive to these ears and I decided to try and find out a bit more. I found out that Flowery was originally released as part of a split cassette single back in January 2014. Flyying Colours – Not Today

Australian band Flyying Colours follow up their excellent debut EP with a new track called Not Today. They sound a bit like Ride meeting Dinosaur Jr with a side helping of other Creation bands such as Swervedriver and My Bloody Valentine thrown in for good measure. Not Today is out now on Shelflife Records (the mp3 version also contains a FLAC version) whilst it follows in the UK & EU on Monday via Club AC30.
