DIYPOP from Oddbox Records – Not part of your scene
Oddbox Records have released a 45 track digital compilation summing up the label’s first 4 years of existence. It’s one of those pay what you want (including free) thingies. The label states “Odd Box released it’s first 7″ single in May 2009. Since then the label has released something like 14 albums and 39 singles or EPs. I came across these demos by the band Flowers whilst wasting sometime on Bandcamp and they are certainly worth the free download. I don’t know anything about the band although they state on their homepage/facebook page that they are signed to Fortuna Pop. There is also a release on Cloudberry Records coming up and that may be my first purchase from that label for a while.
