The latest release on the Jakarta based label Disanorak is from Bourgeois and their new (debut?) single Mattias which may or may not have been recorded several years ago depending on how you interpret the Bandcamp page.

The track is packed full of retro sounds and features some lovely female backing vocals amongst the jangling guitars and indiepop melodies. It’s backed with the excellent Do I Really Have To Understand You? which reminds me of The Brilliant Corners especially when it comes to the arrangements. Also supplied is a demo version of the latter but once you have heard the final version this is a curiosity rather than a necessity.
