Heavenly are releasing their first single in over 29 years. Titled Portland Town it’s a vivacious track with cutting lyrics and catchy guitars whilst Amelia Fletcher and Cathy Rogers vocals bounce off each other. I mean what more do you want aside from the band’s version of Someone Who Cares, originally by The Only Ones, which will furnish the flip side.
Portland Town will be released as a digital single next Friday (06 June 2025) via Skep Wax Records. A yellow 7″ follows in mid July which is just in time for their appearance at the Skep Wax Weekender in London. That’s all followed by the reissue of their fourth album Operation Heavenly via the same label and formats on 25 July 2025. Phew.
