A number of the blogs I read, music ones that is, have been singing the praises of the Indianapolis based Good Flying Birds. They have just released a collection of songs recorded between 2021 -2024 via the Rotten Apple Label.

Whilst songs such as Eric’s Eyes and Dynamic are very good the essential listens are to be found on the recent Inscrutable Records compilation Star Charms where the band contribute three tracks including the amazing I Will Find.

It’s mix of indiepop, twee pop and retro sounding jangle is totally addictive to these ears and I have been finding myself playing it time and time again. If you only have a chance to listen to one of their songs make it this one. Alternatively lock your door,, put on your headphones and play the two aforementioned releases to your hearts (ears?) content.
