Razif Mudarsyah Haragi has been recording under The Sweetest Touch moniker for sometime now. He has not lost his love for 1980’s UK indie, in particular Sarah records, just yet as these four songs found on the latest EP Reminiscence testify.
The opening three tracks (Solitude, Reminiscence, Tender Heart) are akin to The Sea Urchins more serene moments. These are dreamy melancholy driven tracks that will have the listener drifting off through the clouds. The urgency of the final track Unnatural sees me snap out of my trance like state as it swirls around grabbing, demanding, the listeners attention. The guitars jangle at all the right moments with the dance floor of the local indiepop club being the likely final destination.
Reminiscence is out now on Guerilla Records.
