It was only last week that I picked up Parisians Alvilda’s Negatif 7 EP albiet 3 and a half years too late – only kidding it’s timeless. It did have me thinking oh I wonder what happened there then? Well blow me down they have only announced this week that they will be releasing their debut album C’est D​é​jà L’heure on London’s Static Shock Records on October 25 2024.

Angoisse is the lead single and it’s a bouncy blast of late 70’s inspired power pop/new wave with the sound, cover art and clothes to match. Static Shock mention 1960s girl pop whilst also likening them to Dolly Mixture, Chin Chin and Les Calamités. That description alone should have you chomping at the bit.
