Lunarways are Yala, Ical, Erik, Anand and Dewok. I am not sure what part of Indonesia they are from, but they record for the Surabaya based Paska Records. Balada Distorsi (Distortion Ballad) is their second single, following last year’s Sun/Daze single. It’s a vibrant indiepop/twee track mixed, as the cover may suggest, surf pop guitars. The band sing in their native tongue and, if Google Translate is to be believed, the song is about spending time with someone close. Another one of those fun, disposable pop tracks from those ever musically prolific Southeast Asian islands.
