Manchester’s Sumos are back after a few years away with the announcement that they will be releasing their new album Surfacing on May 12 2023. The band have also released the first single to be taken from the album in the shape of Finding a Way. Dedicated to “a troubled relationship” the single is a fuzzy but poppy song. Hints of 60s pop flirt with punk infused indiepop and, despite the subject, it sounds quite lively and upbeat. Ah, maybe that’s what’s missing!
Surfacing will be released jointly by Safe Surburban Home Records (UK) and Meritorio Records (ESP).
