Norwegian band Love Dance have released an astonishing single to kick off Too Good To Be True’s brand new singles club. Titled Parallel Lines it’s an epic indiepop track that entices the listener straight from the off as it twists, turns and twirls over the course of it’s five minutes. Normally it’s the music that breaks up the words in a song but here it’s the opposite as the forlorn vocals repeat “I don’t have fun as much as I used to”.
On this track the band have returned to their indiepop roots after recent excursions into synth-pop but part of me thinks that there are passages in the track which would be ripe for a dancefloor version in the same vein as their excellent remix of 122 North’s 2021 single Drive.
Parallel Lines will be backed with PSF (who knows it may well be the remix I am looking for!) and will be released next Monday. You can pre-order the single (or the whole singles club series) from here.
