The Monday Sampler!

Another ten tracks to start the week off. Enjoy!

And here are the individual tracks/info:

Bridge Dog – Gone South

The second single from Sydney’s Bridge Dog in as many months. Very indiepop-ish this time around and the vocals are a delight.

Colatura – We Run On Empty

Gentle and melodic indiepop, wrapped in melancholy and regret.

Fjord Mustang – Health Class Field Trip

More chilled indiepop this time courtesy of Toronto’s excellently named Fjord Mustang with their new and second single. It’s a song about daydreaming and a trip away.

Salt Lake Alley – Merry-Go-Round

Merry-Go-Round is the first single to be taken from Salt Lake Alley’s forthcoming album It Takes Two. It’s a jangling track that manages to invoke the sound of yesteryear to great effect.

Lizzy & the Fanatics – East Angus 1998

The latest song from Montreal’s Lizzy & the Fanatics is an epic sounding mix of dream and janglepop.

Magon – The Willow

The Willow is taken from the forthcoming album In The Blue that will be released by Howlin Banana Records and December Square early next month. The track itself is hypnotic alt-rock that errs on the side of psychedelia.

Stomp Talk Modstone – Sunday

A swirling and, at times distorted, shoegaze track with ethereal vocals provided by Eriko of Baby Ever Rain.

The Quiet Method – Exits

Exits is taken from the debut Archipelago EP from Manchester’s The Quiet Method. It’s a fast paced jangle pop track with a retro feel resplendent with a strong and distinct vocal performance. Very catchy and some nice synths too.

Duschpalatset – Fear and Loathing in Pite Älvdal

Yeah! Noisy and fuzzy indiepop with a whole heap of punk attitude. A track bang full of life and a few feck’s along the way. Absolutely bloody marvellous. An album titled Baby follows later this month via Startracks.

La Media Distancia.- El Berrón

La Media Distancia is Asturians Marina Simal and Santiago Fernández. El Berrón is their debut single and is an incredible mix of synth and indiepop with nods to post-punk. An album will hopefully follow next year on Jabalina Música.
