Love, Burns – Wired Eyes

New York based Love, Burns is lead by Phil Sutton who has been in bands such as Comet Gain, Velocette and Kicker and is currently in Pale Lights.

Wired Eyes originally appeared on last years collection of demo recordings titled Fiftieth and Marlborough and was the choicest cut for me. Now released as an alternative mix and it sounds even better, fusing indiepop, 1960s influenced janglepop and even a bit of northern soul. Yeah – there is even a trumpet or two. As Sutton sings “You’ve got a heart so cold, Like the NRA” it’s no surprise to read that all profits from the single are going to Sandy Hook Promise.

Wired Eyes is backed with Hard to Fall and is available digitally from Calico Cat Records.
