Russian band Sleep Overload have dropped both the ethereal and experimental sound found on their previous two singles. New single Afraid is straight-up full-on shoegazing effort with heavy, sometimes chiming, guitars interloped with hazy vocals. It’s an enjoyable track albeit being guilty sticking to the shoegazing template at times. Afraid can be purchased digitally from here.
