Redhead is the new project from Andrew Simmonds, ex member and songwriter for Donna Hayward. On this, his debut EP, Simmonds is joined by members of Astragal and Groundhog Day. Not being familiar with Donna Haywards work Spiral is an engaging listen that crosses into various territories such as alt-rock and post-punk. The EP also gets stronger the further in it gets and by the time the closer Name (Room) ends you may, like me, head back to the first track and start all over again. It’s certainly one for those who like listening to angst riddled music.
