Witterings from an old indie kid

Crystalline – Repeat Repetition

Southend-On-Sea based Crystalline is the project of one Nicholas Cook and Repeat Repetition is his debut. The EP consists of four songs that crosses the divide between 1980’s indie, jangle pop and post punk. You only have to look at the stunning artwork to pick that vibe up! Cook’s vocals are reminiscent of the late Pete Shelly’s none more so than on opener Perfect Bronze as he scowls his way through the song. If guitar based post-punk is your thing than give this DIY EP a listen pronto.
